We are offering our proven APPROVED Irish Draught Sport horse broodmare to a breeding or riding home. She is confirmed IN FOAL to Taproot Prime for May 2021 delivery.
Strike the Bell is one of our homebreds and has produced 4 proper Irish foals for us. She is a good mother, easy pregnancies, easy births, plenty of milk. Has conceived twice with frozen. Receptive to live cover. Perfect type to breed with modern WBs and TBs. We are retaining her 2019 filly for our program after she was Youngstock Champion at the IDHSNA National Show. Her 2017 colt was purchased by an upper level event rider to produce.
She is also been produced under saddle. She has very limited show experience but could easily be brought along for fox hunting or as a low level eventer after she has fulfilled broodmare duties.
Kaleen passed her IDHSNA Inspection in September 2019 and was awards the special recognition of Bronze Merit for her jumping technique in the chute. She was 5 months in foal and still proved herself athletic and scopey over 3' fences. All of her foals are registrable with IDHSNA regardless of stallion's pedigree or inspection status.
She is a 2012 by Bridon Belfrey out of our foundation mare, Jezebel (Voltaire.)
Kaleen would do well in a small program where she can have lots of personal attention and really bond with her rider.
Kaleen will be available in early fall after her 2020 foal is weaned OR she can be sold with her 2020 colt by Silver Tax for an additional fee.
Silver Tax is by #MarkTodd ‘s famous #Aberjack descending from the proven #Aberlou jump racing line that has produced many event horses in New Zealand. His damside comes directly from champion imported stock from Suma Stud in Ireland.
Gold is Due has a very interesting pedigree appealing to eventers. She broke her fetlock on the track and had to be retired early. She was a magnificent animal; 17h, legs for days, beautiful head and eye, correct legs, lofty soft movement, very easy temperament; everything you could ask for in a TB mare. She has Damascus twice, Private Account, Danzig, Halo, Nearco, lots of IRE, UK and FR blood. Quite a few horses by her sire are now competitively eventing.
This fella is going to be tall and leggy like his dam. He has the easiest temperament of any foal I’ve bred. He was sleeping flat out the whole time the dentist was working on his dam; you really would never guess he’s 75% TB! He’s got great conformation. You would be hard pressed to fault him for much. We have had to do no corrective trimming on his feet, just basic reshaping; he’s that correct!
He’s available to a competitive eventing home. I would like to see him brought up through FEH and YEH. Considerations made for young professional motivated to compete, with limited budget. He will be recorded with USEA and microchipped included in the sale. Price to increase with age.
Quality strapping colt suitable for hunting or show. Mick has lovely short coupling, short shins and well set shoulder and hip. He's very easy going and when produced, will make a wonderful all-round parter for any English discipline.
IN FOAL to Taproot Prime with 1/16th Irish Draught foal. Perfect type for either Show Hunters or Eventing. Lots of quality blood in this pedigree!
Admiring Glance had a strong 4 year racing career and (to the best of my knowledge) has retired sound. She was bred, trained and raced by a Hall of Fame trainer and is sired by a Hall of Fame stallion, Flatter. She had her first foal late in the season 2019 and was left open. She is now expecting an April 2021 by Taproot Prime.
She has lovely movement and a very big gallop. It’s tough to find any faults in her conformation.
